#FFXIV MAC VERSION 2017 HOW TO#
Looks like a pretty generic WINE error so I'm not sure how to proceed. I used a screen recorder and found a frame where it's visible, screenshot of the dialog is attached. Most of the time nothing comes up at all, about 20-25% of the time there's a dialog that flashes by too quickly to read. They validated my OS and HW specs and other configs, everything looks OK. SE support has done a network trace, connectivity looks fine. I've reinstalled from scratch multiple times after blowing away both the launcher app and ~/Library/Application Support/FINAL FANTASY XIV ONLINE/. The launcher now fails to start every time, icon bounces once then pauses and the little dot underneath goes away shortly after. I clicked the button, rebooted my box to shake the network bugs out, and tried to open the launcher again. Today I tried to start the Launcher during what seemed like a network glitch (Music app wasn't loading anything and VPN app appeared hung after disconnecting), and got an error along the lines of "Unable to Complete Version Check" with a button to shutdown. Game has worked perfectly for 8-9 months.
